Introduction to WSTDF

In light of the spirit of Chinese president Xi Jinping’s congratulatory messages to the 1st World Science and Technology Development Forum, with the theme of “Trust, Cooperation and Development”, the 2nd World Science and Technology Development Forum advocates innovation, openness, inclusiveness, mutual trust and exchanges. It aims to build a world-class source platform for scientific and technological thoughts, a trust platform for international scientific and technological cooperation, and a global dynamic platform for technological innovation. The Forum emphasizes the integration of science and technology with economy, society, culture and ecological civilization, promotes the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the building of a community of shared future for mankind. It is proposed to be a two-day forum with 1 primary session and 5 parallel sessions centering on the topics of “sci-tech revolution and human civilization evolution”, “regional innovation and innovation policy environment”, “digital economy and inclusive growth”, “responsibilities and missions of open science and scientific community”. The Forum will gather more than 500 outstanding participants from the global fields of technology, education and industries for online and offline discussions and exchanges through a range of activities including the opening ceremony, keynote speeches, Q&A, high-level dialogue and closing ceremony.
